Depth maps (Bathymetry)

When I left N.H. back in 2012, the Fish & Game website contained just over 200 bathymetric charts of lakes and ponds statewide;
when I checked again recently, the number had jumped to over 650 maps !
These maps show depth and structure for each lake/pond, fish species contained, and direction to each one ! Even if you don't have a fish-finder, just comparing one of these charts to a satellite map and using landmarks to triangulate, one can find/pinpoint most locations of different structures, at least for the smaller ponds ! Then, there're also GPS devices, as these maps usually contain GPS co-ordinates; just use visual cues to find them, then mark them on your units ! A few other states also have these charts, including Massachusetts, Indiana, and Minnesota that I'm aware of; I just wish Arizona would do so, but my suggestions seem to have fallen on deaf ears for the last seven years ! I'm pretty sure other fishermen in this state would also appreciate this feature ! Does anyone else out there think this is a good idea ? Your input would be well appreciated, especially other Arizonans !

I fish 🎣 in Arizona for Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass... I have belonged to three bass clubs, The Mid- Week Bass club fishes on Wednesdays only unless there is a schedule change for various reasons. They fish one Wednesday a month which may change upon the date. The schedule is determined in the previous year by the club members. The format is a team concept, it’s a draw tournament. You will fish with a different fisherman each time. You will be limited to weigh in 5 “Bass” for both of you as the total weight. There are 6 or 7 cash pay outs which is split 50/50 between two fisherman who are fishing as a team. The lakes that we fish are ( Lake Havasu and Lake Martinez both of these lakes are part of the Colorado River System, Lake Alamo, Lake Roosevelt, Lake Bartlett, and Lake Pleasant... Some of the lakes we may fish on two occasions. It’s the best fishing 🎣 club in the state of Arizona and has the largest membership in the state. The two options that you have are to fish as a “BOATER” or “CO-ANGLER”.. This gives you the opportunity to fish with a experienced angler and learn what technique’s fishing equipment, lures, and to familiarize you with information that you can learn from at a reasonable cost without the cost/need of a boat 🚣‍♀️ and tow vehicle 🚗 to transport the boat... I have finished as a “Boater” and “Co-ANGLER”. Both are great ways to fish. If you are interested you can check the website out at... www.midweekbassaz.com

Wow, that sounds like a great way to fish and learn from someone else's experience.
I didn't realize you guys had that many lakes in AZ and I see most are centrally located.

Thanks for the info, as it sounds like something I might want to look into; although I've fished for many years, I know there's so much more out there for me to learn ! It certainly would present more fishing opportunities, as well as a chance to learn from better fishermen so that I may catch more and/or bigger fish in the
near future !
