Finally got on the walleyes yall... finally. First walleye for me, period. I'm 39yrs old and never caught a walleye...smh, its embarrassing.

I got three yesterday, along with a personal best flathead that was probably 50lbs or more. I went down before church today and caught another big flathead, and everyone else had a few walleye on the stringers.. I'm loving this!! I'm told the spring run is the best time, but I gotta say I cant imagine better than this lol. And yes, I am a little excited hahaha.

Thanks guys!! Yes it was a blast forsure.. @Nickatnight I am in Mid-Michigan, Bay City area.

Plumbob, yes it was a challenge.. there was other guys down there that came running to help with the net. I wouldn't have got him in otherwise, it took two of us to have it over the rail lol!

Awesome catch especially with that rail. Nice to have folks willing to help instead of just watching. True fishermen you all are.

Yes Kat I agree, found that most fisher folk have a good level of patience. Sure there are a few that haven't figured it out yet, but on a whole the virtue of patience has found its way through a rod and reel and willing to help others in need.

I agree with these statements.. almost everyone I've met on a river or lake fishing has been personable. Take this forum, for example, pretty much everyone I've met on here so far has been helpful and kind. Better than Facebook lol.

Best part DL is keeping politics off of this forum. Facebook, tweeting, and actors squawking who cares. We all have different views, but on here the opinions are respected that what works for one may not work for the other. Mainly ideas are put out there and accept or not and move on to the next topic. We can only hope it would catch on.
