fishing for strippers in Maine rivers

Hi i am new to this so please be patient what I would like to know is have any of you out there ever tried to use salt pork to fish strippers ?

Yes, I buy pork bellies or the back and salt rind myself. After curing for two day I scrape the fat off and cut to size, I use on a white bucktail and have had much success on using. I fish jetties off Cape May NJ. It is the go to when nothing else is working. Its great for working around the rocks. Add a little food coloring of choice. It works!!

thank you for the reply what i am dong right know is making tub lures for trolling and we are using see worms for bate and i wondered if the salt pork mite be a second choice ??
