Hey guys and gals.., just a friendly reminder. If your over 40, make sure to see the dermatologist at least once a year. I’m 50 years old and visit my dermo twice a year due to the fact that I’ve been surfing and fishing for over 40 years now. Remember, you can’t fish when your dead!!! πŸ„πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸŽ£

Go twice a year and burn or cut on something nearly every time. No joke, get checked if playing in the sun! Sunscreen use it too. We did not have it back then.

A good post about reminding about the skin care.

It is the GI"s I do not like studying for.

I always ask they do the top first and want to be the first one in the morning.

The test will wipe you out.

Understatement!!! LOL

Hey Bass add having a blue light treatment to the list of not wanting to go through. Last month the Dermatologist smeared some kind of gel all over my face and then I sat under a blue light for 16 minutes. Took care of some little ones but the bigger ones are being burned off next week. Oh by the way folks when you apply that sun screen don't be like me and forget to do the back of your arms. Getting that area cooked next week as well. Fun Times. NOT!!!

Yes, and, be very careful which types/brands of sun screen you use... about 75% of sun blocks on the market actually GIVE you skin cancer! All the Copertones, CVS brands, sprays, Banana Boat, and many more are NOT good. I forget the actual chemical names to stay away from, but, you can Google them and the brands to stay away from, and, the best brands to use. All sun screens are NOT created equal!!! πŸ„πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸŽ£

I will second that plumbob; I have a 3” scar on the back of my arm and a hole in my chest the size of a softball. Both from melanoma! I now visit the dermatologist twice a year for a full body check.

Thanks BF, that is good to know.

Randy I can't match that scar but had one on the side of my face that took a plastic surgeon 2 hours to stitch just right without a scar a few years back. Strange how we learn way to late in life.
