Spoke with a shark fisherman this summer. Their method - at night - is to kayak their bait 300 yards out. Had the shit scared out of him when a large dorsal fin surfaced along side. Was relieved to learn it was a porpoise.
Great fish . My favorite fish to catch and eat. We have alot of Yakers who fish long island sound. Lot to see them hooked up on a big striper . No motor needed . I see kayaks 3 miles off shore in 70 ft fishing Fluke when weather is right.
Wow,where did you catch this wonderful flounder, and what did you use for bait? I realize you may not want to tell me, but I've been trying to catch flounder for two years, and I'm in Pensacola, Fl.

Here in NC a keeper has to be 15”+, usually catch them on Mud Minnows
Let me double back the life jacket. Bought an inflatable one at Academy for $90. I diss -connected the auto blow up. Pull the card and there she blows. Now I am 69. Swam in college. Not interested in what if. Be prepared.

Not knowing what the live ones actually look like, TW they are on line I believe at Amazon. If you are into lures might want to compare the picture to what the live ones look like. Those Z man baits mud minnow with paddle tail do last quite awhile. Not that I use them each time out, but here of late and depending on the clarity of the water they do well.
