Lake Kinkaid Fishing

This southern Illinois lake near Murphysboro is the first place to target in the spring and the last in the fall if you're after quality fish 🎣....The autumn bite is much less labor intensive -- Try slowly speed trolling shallow-running Shad Raps in a carp pattern in the boat's wake. This is a way to cover a large amount of water. Another option is to fish a 13 Fishing 10 Inch Big Squirm Ribbon Tail Worm in the Witches Brew color. Try a Texas-Rig, Carolina Rig or adventure a magnum Shaky-head.

Texas Rig Rubber Worm
A very popular rubber worm rigging method, this rig when done correctly is weedless. For purpose of time I am using a you tube video for instruction. This video is form Kevin Sewel Fishing on

Deep, clear water surrounded by sandstone bluffs makes Kincaid Lake one of the most scenic lakes in Illinois. Largemouth and muskie are the primary quarry, and it is a popular bass tournament lake.

Me thinks you need to slow down and take your time. Contact local tackle shops and talk to them - make sure you buy something, they will give you the right info. Have you registered your boat with the state, paid the fees? Please be safe and wear your life jacket (s), let someone know where you will be and what time ur returning. Good luck, have fun and stay healthy.
