Not a whitefish which are in the family salmonidae and have an adipose fin. It's a hitch.

It is not a whitefish, which are a salmonid. No adipose fin. It's a cyprinid called a "hitch" native to California.

In South Dakota, looks like we call that a skipjack.
The multiple catch are white fish from lake superior. The single fish is a cisco also known as tulebee. We have both here in Wisconsin.
