I am new to fishing at any of the Fort Stewart Ponds. They are all stocked with large mouth bass and I want some of them. What is the best bait to use for bass, crappie or bluegill?

Thanks!
Richard

For trophy fishing...i have luck with shiners and or live bluegill. Pond 26 along with several others have huge largemouth. Aside from that, when they are bedding in early spring...sight fishing for huge bass is a good tactic.

Hopefully, I will be able to make it out there this year. Bass is my favorite meal! Where is Pond 26 located? I live by Food Lion in Hinesville.

If you have the Google Maps App…all you have to do is type in: Metz Pond 26.
And this is the site to check out Open and closed Ponds:

I looked and Metz is open this Sunday(29th).
Best of luck to you!
