i thought of doing this
Welcome to the Forum, Smitty. I hope the thought passed.
Saw on the news last night someone bought a houe for a million dollars, spent 2 million getting it moved 50 miles by water, so he would have the old style he wanted with a view of the water.
Big brick home on a barge with 2 tugboats, 1 pulling 1 pushing.
The view he has where he moved it is nice.

I saw that too, Oz. He must have more money than I do. But then and again, most people do. So be it!
He probably had more than most of us a lot combined.
As long as he is happy.
Some people have more dollars than sense
Good for them they can't take it with them it will have no value.
That's moronic, pay twice what a house is worth to move it. Why not just build a replica where you want it, save $2,000,000. But it's just me thinking out loud.
FF
He is not done it still needs a foundation everything a new house needs in place to function sewer, electric, gas driveway or road to it.
He is just getting started.
Ahhh, I see, one of the rich eccentrics, a super rich dummy.
Not so much a dummy just spends his money on things some probably wouldn't.
When they showed a picture of the house before it was on the barge it had a big add on part, on the barge it was not there, like I said he is just getting started.
If I had that kinda money I would buy a Chunk of land with good water shed and build a large deep lake, but that's just what would float my boat.
Then again I might just travel the world fishing, and hunting.

Question is how do you register it trailer, barge with living quaters?
If it has no motor is it a dock?
My wife would see this and laugh and call it a redneck houseboat.
Looks like an anchor rope off of the front maybe he is homsteading the body of water.
