Monomoy Island, Cape Cod, fall, wire line for Jumbo Striped bass.
Anybody out there ever been to Monomoy and done this ??

Wire line is used for deep trolling, isn't it? This time of year the Stripers can be anywhere in the water column while migrating and pausing to feed.
Yes it is and at the High Bank at the south end of Monomoy Island there is a large mussel bed. More 50 lb + bass have been caught there than anywhere else I know off. In September and October using 50 or 60 pd test stainless steel line and a jig=it=eel= JIG. You also need a custom made rod with carbolouwed quides, a roller tip top and a high capacity narrow spooled high speed reel. Please pardon my sp.
