6'10 medium fast baitcaster.
Wondering what applications would work with his rod. Currently I have a 7'2 MH F I like it and was wondering the differences or what applications work best with each rod.

I'm currently looking at getting a rod with similar specs for jerkbaits, poppers, walking baits and finesse swimbaits. I may even use it for small squarebills, dropshots, finesse jigs and shakeyheads depending on the situation I am faced with. What brand and model of rod are you looking at?

Sounds like a good candidate for jerkbaits, topwater lures, weightless senkos/soft jerks, finesse worming ie shaky head, lighter Texas rigs, wacky worming, finesse jigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, small swimbaits (keitechs)... medium/fast is probably the most versatile power/action in bass fishing, shouldn’t be hard to find a use for it.

To me, that rod fit the description of a jerk bait rod. The length won't wear you out as fast as a longer rod, nor will it be as likely to hit the water fishing from a boat. The medium power will help to keep the fish pinned on the treble hooks. The fast action will better inpart action to the bait. It would also be a good choice for pencil top water baits to walk the dog and finesse hook applications. Personally, I like longer MF rods (7' 6") for finesse hooks, unless skipping docks.
