I am looking for suggestions on a good ultra lite reel that will handle 4lb line and what manufacturer has the best 4lb line

Make that a Strasic 1000FL
or more updated model.
If using Fireline, you may want to attach a fluoro leader for trout or carry a marking pen to keep the last 6-10 feet dark if it fades via use.

Thanks for the info. I use the Stradic 2500 currently with 8 lb. I am looking to use the 4lb line for Smallmouth in the ultra clear water I often fish.

Daiwa Ballistic 1000 ex reel for UL close tolerances no spool wrap lite line issues !
Trilene EX L or Sunline , both act nicely on smaller spoils , soft no line set and excellent

I like the Shakespeare Microspin rod and reel. A good combo on a small budget
