Catfish on Lake Livingston

Me and my friend went to the lake Thursday night and stayed at a friend's rv camp. Friday morning we went to the boat launch and netted some gizzard shad and went fishing for a about 3 hours. We got into them within minutes of our first stop, ended up with 17 that we kept. We probably release 10 to 15 smaller ones. Had a real good time. Then went back to the camp and helped or other friend get the rv and grounds set up for summer visits since he let's us stay there.
I didn't get any pics of his site but will next time we go back, probably next week

We always eat some fresh, I'm cooking some tomorrow, I gave some to my brother which he cooked tonight then we put some up for fish fries with shrimp 🍤 crawfish etc....

It is, the man in the pic is our friend and we split the fish 3 ways. On Lake Livingston the limit is 50 cats apiece per day
