Got two Stripers yesterday after a couple unsuccessful trips. On the troll, I found these shallow after going deep most of the day.

Welcome to the Stage SM, and those are beautiful intro Stripers. Glad to see that you figured something out, and it paid off. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Smokey2, while stripers are caught along the ocean coast here from the beach, I haven’t yet caught a Striper in saltwater.
I took the three and a half hour drive from Oceanside to Gorman to connect with these “schoolies”. When the shad start blooming it will be very exciting.

OldBassGuy, thank you sir. I’ve been fishing Castaic and Pyramid Lakes. A long drive for me but once inside the gate it’s worth getting there. The scenic landscape and glimpses of wildlife add to the joy of connecting with fish.

Nice fish Artist! They’ve been in the shallows up here as well.

Thank you sir! Well worth the effort of finding what attitude the fish are in and what they are willing to bite.

Hi OldBassGuy. Yes sir, the painting is my work. Inspired by fishing in southern Mexico, Puerto Escondido. “Sailfishin” is the title. I still have the original.

It is exciting! Going again this week for reservoir stripers and will cast in the ocean in my area as well. I understand the bigger fish feed at night.

Pac1961, yes these fish were the icing on the cake, taking in the peacefulness of the lake and natural surroundings. A good focus outside of daily routine.
