I hope to post regular Crappie reports here in south al from the delta Crappie fishing.
The tenses delta has thousands of acres of water to fish in

That would be the tensaw delta. The land of many rivers make up this delta area

Hello Charlieatal,
Welcome newcomer from a newcomer. Weiss lake where I live is known as the Crappie capital of the world. Some have been caught in the 4 to 4.5 lb size. Most are in the 1 to1.5 lb range. Lots of Largemouth, Hybrids, Catfish and Bream too. That said I would bet that the Delta grows lots of big Crappie & other fish too. Tight lines to you, Roughneck

Heading down to the Villages for Nov. When is spawning for crappie and some fishing tips? Used minnows last year and only got a couple.

saw a three and half pound crappie caught at Lake fork ,Texas
huge fish
cant imagine a five pounder
I'm not doubting your word
just hard to imagine a crappie that big

Nov 16, 2011 · Texas Crappie Record The Texas black crappie record is for a 3 pound 92 ounce fish that it was caught April 27, 2003. This fish measured 18 and half inches long and it had a 17 inch girth. The man responsible for the catch is named George Ward and he’s from Garland Texas. He caught the crappie when fishing at Lake Fork.

Grenada Lake in Mississippi has the biggest Crappie weighing three pounds quite often .

I just googled Lake Weiss record for white crappie and learned it is 4 lbs 6 oz.
