I've had no luck between Tracy and Newman , I've been out thier 5 times and just 1 cat, anybody been out thier

I've only been to the Welty Gate (see map below). Welty crosses Hwy 132.
Drifted cut anchovies on the bottom just below the gate -- caught one striper and one cat the only time I've been this year. Done well there almost every time I've been there.

When you say Delta Mendota Hammer ,Im thinking Mendota / Kerman/ Fresno area , how far does it go ? I've fished this area but not Tracy, Newman, is it considered the same one ? Thx

The intake for both canals are roughly 10 miles NW of Tracy near the SW corner of the Delta.

Ok , Thanks Papa, I now see it is pumped back from the San Joaquin River , that's what always confuses me , I've Fished the San Joaquin below Millerton and above when I was younger , Thx.
