Decent day despite the wind.
Headed over to one of the local waters this morning before the WNW winds really kicked up. Caught about 10 of the ever present snot rockets, 3 bass from 11-14” and 3 pretty nice crappies 11-13” swimming 3” Keitech EZ shiner paddle tails. Really wanted to fish weightless plastics but it was not to be Still no goslings but all the mallard hens had the kids in tow. The drakes are no longer competing for breeding rights and are hanging out in bachelor groups. Home in plenty of time to till the garden and maybe get the first mowing in. Nice bright sunny day but that darn wind makes it a challenge.
Interesting knot choice do you think that helps the action hook up or both?

Nice catching. What type of loop knot is that? Looks stronger than what I've used. Thanks

Maybe it's just the timing of the pictures but your water seems very calm. I know weightless responds to the wind but we usually have bottom bouncers or crank baits on. Good to see you catching though.

I like to use a loop knot on jigs, easy to tie and may impart additional action. Don’t know if it makes all that much difference but I’ll take advantage of whatever I can.

OB, it was gusty so I had to time my casts when there was a lull.

Thanks. Found a salt strong YouTube and shared it to my email for reference

Nice assortment there Brad, sounds like far more than a decent day. At least the temps are starting to favor your days out there but this never ending wind is a PINTA.

Yeah plumb, the wind was gusty today making swimming a light jig pretty difficult but I’ll take it. Enjoy just a’chucking and winding.
That is a fine catch. I never do well on a windy day unless I am working the bottom with a bouncer or some bottom jigging rig.
