Very windy camping at Isabella...fished two days; caught a total of one bass....about 3 inches long.
Bailed out and drove to Lake Success near Porterville. Very nice campgrounds....$20 a nite and worth it...clean restrooms, showers, nice people.
Fishing: first afternoon out in the kayak caught a few small bass and a dozen very big bluegills. Next day, morning and afternoon....windy, no friend of the kayaker....caught nothing worth a photo. Lot of exercise though!

Next time you’re at Lake Isabella and it’s real windy. Try cat fishing on the downwind side of the lake have caught some big ones.
