Here's a tip: Big a$z shiners under balloons, & really sharp hooks.

Hi Mike, I fish Lake Okeechobee and the best way is to hire a guide for the first time out and learn the lake, it's a hard lake to fish but lots of large bass 🎣 if you don't want to do that then try fishing Monkey Box area on the south end of the lake it's a very good spot this time of year 🎣 it has a hard bottom and the fish will spawn there🎣🎣 good luck and we do like pictures of your catch πŸ™

Thanx Chuck. I usually fish the south end of the lake but hasn't been very good lately. I've been wanting to go to monkey box and Harney Pond area but don't really know my way around there. And with the water going down I don't wanna hit anything
Any advise?

I don't do shiners. That's pretty close to cheating!

Good morning Mike, you might try Slim's fish camp it's close to Pelican Bay and Grassy Inland which has good fishing on the south end 🎣
I like using a frog or spinner bait early in the morning πŸ˜‚ I'm with you no live bait here that's not fishing to me, but everyone has their own opinion.. wish you luck πŸ™πŸ™
