It is time for our first trip on S.D. bay tomorrow. Imagine if you will, two really old guys tooling across the harbor in search of different types of fish. Younger guys watching us, saying "They probably shouldn't be out here". Aircraft carriers and destroyers going by, getting the lifeboats ready....just in case. Pleasure boaters blasting by with their music blaring. Guys in their $100k boats asking us what we are catching them on, because they have not had a bite. It is usually a fun day of "Catching" with Larry (FishandRods) and the only time I can fish with someone older than me! Hope we make it back with some decent pictures for you folks.
Kind of the mini version of Denny (40GRIT)

Sounds like a wonderful day out to me. Post some pics brother.
I fully understand your situation. I am a pup at 75, but my partner is 82. You should see the looks and comments we get when I back our boat in using a 32 foot motorhome, with Chuck standing at the helm ready to back the boat off the trailer. 57 foot combined rig overall. It is amazing how long we have to wait for younger folks to load and unload. Keep at it as long as the body physically lets you.
P.S. I believe a lot of people don't think we have wives at home. Sometimes it is just fun to smile and wave.
