I live in Miami and want to fish for bass from my kayak in lakes and impoundments located within 2-3 hours from me. I like to fly fish with poppers and also take along my spinning outfit. I would like to learn how to fish with the rubber worms, too.
Any advice will be appreciated.
PS- I fly fish locally for bonefish, wading in the ocean on the flats.
Thanks.

Sam, Lake Okeechobee would be your best bet and as far as learning to use a worm just work it very slow and you should be able to catch fish (Red Shad) works good for me 🎣🎣
Be very wary of the 'gators if you'll be in a kayak.
Hey Chuckay,
Thanks for the tip on Lake "O". I'll definitely give it a try. Where would you suggest I should launch and fish. My kayak is kinda heavy, so a reasonable launch site is always welcome.
Jim,
Good advice. I've seen lots of gators while fishing. Some of them have followed me, but so far none have attacked. However, I imagine they will be tempted most if I'm near their nest, or bring a fish to the kayak. I did see a video on YouTube of a big gator attacking a kayak and turning it over. Very scary for the owner. He was not harmed, but probably had to wash his shorts.
