Great catches, Matt!
I love Vaqueros for trout and striper fishing. The only thing I do not like is that I cannot take my kayak out on the water there. I always catch my limit of trout and stripers there. The other thing I like about Vaqueros is the fish taste better from there because that water is a lot cleaner than the Delta or other waterways that are fed by irrigation dump off.

I prefer not to eat anything out of the Delta tbh.
The trout at Vaqueros have a really nice pink meat to them.
Great spot all around and the boat rental aren't too expensive.

I agree, Matt. I have tried the stripers out of the Napa river and they weren't too bad. I like to keep and eat the smaller ones closer to the limit over the larger ones that have been in the water longer if caught from the Napa River.
But it has only been a few times that I have fished there and the last time was 2 years ago, I believe.

Nope -- only rental electrics. I don't know about kayaks but I've never seen any.

Most of the stripers in Vaqueros are transplants from Clifton Forebay (moved when the algae level gets toxic). They're also moved to Bethany Reservoir.
