Does anyone have a surf fishing report for Amelia Island, south end?

I don't know the area but I was just talking with my neighbor who fished Amelia Island near the bridge this past weekend. He caught a nice keeper flounder and a decent bluefish. He said he has to use the spider/sputnik type weight because the current is so strong. He fished the first of the outgoing tide with fresh dead shrimp. Don't know if this helps but tight lines to you.

I was surf fishing Monday, the day before yesterday, north of American Beach. I caught one whiting and one small pompano. The surf is very difficult to read because the waves are too small. There usually is a sand bar about 150 feet offshore but I haven't seen one in the last two months.
