Hello stagers,
Today's trivia has to do with our feathered friends.
What bird, native to the United States, is the most common?
Many of the backyard birds 🐦 that frequent feeders are non native species.
I'm looking for the most common native species here.
I'm hoping to see a lot of soaring answers πŸ™

Maybe the Sparrow?
I think I've seen them in every state I've ever been in.

I will go with the Dark-eyed Juncos or the American Robin.

They were also the cause of demise of a lot of our natives. I would go with Robin's being pretty common.

If we’re talking bird feeder then I’d say the mourning dove. Otherwise either the grackle or American Crow.

Wrong, there are many native species of Sparrow's in this country. The English Sparrow is a non native and I am sure a few others but most are native.

Not sure if you can pick just one but the Northern Cardinal should be near the top of the list.
