Hi all,
I went with a buddy to Sfasta lake two days in a row. Thursday 4/11 and Friday 4/12. We both caught our limits of spotted bass for both days. My buddy caught a few yesterday using live minnows. We mostly used Gitzit tubes with jigheads. I rigged my tubes the “stupid rig” way. The bite was non stop in the morning until about noon it slowed down so today I switched to a Carolina rig with the tubes. I was able to get a lot of bites but for some reason most of the bites didn’t stick. We were going to take our kayaks out fishing but we both had limited time to fish so we decided to bank fish.

Outstanding, Don--way to slay 'em! I stupid rig my tubes as well, just too much to snag on in the waters I fish. Sometimes insert a small glass rattle to grab their attention. 🎣🐟🎣🐟🎣

Thanks for all the replies and comments. The pre spawn at Shasta lake started off good. Hopefully I can take my daughter out fishing this week while the bite is on fire!

My daughters first trout and it happened to be a lightning trout. Trolling in my kayak at Collins lake.
Bullards Bar reservoir. First time taking my new kayak out for a test run. First time catching Kokanee. I landed two and lost a few.
