Hi fellow fishmen,

My Name is Scott and I love freshwater fishing. I also fish saltwater but my favorite is fresh water. I live in Navarre, FL and has been searching for a good freshwater fishing location. I like to catch bluegills, crappies, catfish, redear sunfish (shellcracker) and other fish that lives in fresh water. Any suggestions? Thanks for welcoming me to this forum.

Scott, welcome and thank you for distinguishing the difference is sunfish.
Most people only refer to all of them as brim. There is a difference.
We stay in homestead from time to time and I fish the brackish water in some of the canals near key Biscayne national Park.
Lots of variety there and might even see manatees.
