Nothing boring about your day OBG. One thing you can count on with DVL is their is giants to be had. I bought a boat just because of DVL when the lake first open back in early years of 2000. Set aside all the negative things about DVL when that lake first experienced it's first drawdown you can still gather lifelong memories and fish stories at the Diamond.

If you don't mind sharing could you please explain the device you use to hold the phone. I have a iPhone and fish alone most times, so I know the hassle you go through in order to snap a photo quick enough that you don't put too much stress on the fish.

I hit up SanV yesterday and didn't know of the price increase. So with travel cost and lake fees not to mention the traffic, I won't be making too many trips down their anytime soon. But SanV is a beauty.

Like TimFly said, I thought the phone was going to Davy Jone’s locker. Great fish Garey, glad it all worked after the FUBAR of handling!!

There are a few phone-camera mounts out there. I use Nite Ize purchased from Bass Pro, you can see the mount with the magnetic clip on ball, on top of my windshield, it definitely provides better pics when you’re holding a fish and solo fishing. Just use the 10 sec countdown on your phone-camera as mentioned previously in the string.

Tks Tracker,

I have a extra Ranger seat boat pedestal that is collecting dust. The Lamicall was only $15.99 no tax, and free shipping. I'll should be able to devise a plate to mount the stand. I'm not a big fan of GoPro. If not, option 2 could be your recommendation.

Oh yea, that sounds like it will work, anything to just hold your phone-camera away from you a little distance.

Fyi, I don't want to leave my phone exposed to the elements to long, because if it gets to hot iPhone will shut down.

Yep, I saw the glass crack on phones that were sitting in the sun too long, best to keep your phone out of the sun until you’re ready to take a pic of the big fish you catch.

Alright Garey. That's a very nice fish. Congrats to ya.
Sometimes the biggest fish I would catch out at Lake Sonoma would come on a Senko that I was just draggin around while I was castin with another rod.

NP, I usually throw a jacket over it, or put it out of the sun somewhere. Use what works best for you. Never had a problem with it for 5 years now. Good luck.
