Well it seems like the fish disappeared in all the lakes lol. Thought I'd try Castaic since I haven't been there in awhile and nothing until about 11am, I got a bite and a nice catch and thank goodness I did because there was absolutely nothing after that... (I left @ 2pm).

Beautiful Bass Hope. I'm glad she showed up, and kept the skunk at bay. Thanks for the picture.

Nice Catching Hope , pretty Bass & Thanks for sharing !π€π€
GREAT job Hope. Thanks for the picture. Good luck on your next fishing excursion.
Nice bass Hope. I wonder if it was a spotted bass or a largemouth. The reason I ask is this: Castaic has some huge spotted bass. So does Bullard Bar lake in northern CA.
It is the lake that holds the world record for spotted bass. That strain of spotted bass was transplanted from Lewis Smith lake in north Alabama, that held the world record for spots at the time, 8 lbs something, to California back in the 1980s. Castaic was the first lake that Alabama strain were stocked in. Since then CA took over the spotted bass IGFA world record, first from Lake Castaic, and currently an 11 pound 4 ounce bass from Bullard Bar holds the record. The gro big fast out there feasting on salmon.
