Lake Moultrie Fishing Buddy

I am 73, slowing down a bit. I have a brand new Bennington 20' Pontoon boat w/70 hp Yamaha set up for fishing. 3 bait wells, 3 fishing chairs. I lost my fishing buddy recently (no, didn't die, just cant handle the humidity and heat). Wife is not reliable to help launch or fish with. Striper season is upon us, will be doing a lot of trolling. Willing to learn new fishing techniques....(crappie, shallow water, large mouth) Must be able to prove your character before we go out by ourselves. I have all the rods and tackle. Humminbird helix 8.. If you have grand-kids that like to fish they will be welcome. Max five people including me. Help with gas if you can.

Wow! What a generous offer. Was stationed in Charleston in the 80's and spent many weekends fishing the upper Cooper River to include Lake Moultrie and Marion. Currently live in Tennessee. Would take you up on that offer if I only lived closer. Shouldn't be hard to find someone. Good luck and tight lines.

To bad you don’t live in South Dakota. But it is a great offer.

I would love to fish with you in the Crappie season. I spent a week in Lake Marion at the wrong time of the year. You have the right rig for Marion as it can get rough especially in windy weather. I have my own equipment and enough for others. I have every crappie jigs and etc. that I think is made.

We are having a meet and greet this Wednesday, Oct 2 at the Bonneau Beach Landing between 5 pm and 6:30 pm. I will have my boat there for inspection and gather information from those interested in the idea. Love to have you show up.

I won't be able to be there but will hope that we can stay in touch for later. I probably go over and rent a place to stay like I did this year . I have a great 18 ft older bass boat with the latest electronics. Catch you later!

I am 70 yr old retiree living near Socastee. I have fished all my life and have small freshwater boat that I have used couple of times on Waccamaw River near Conway.

I could not make it to your "meet & greet" due to prior commitments. If you are still looking for a fishing buddy perhaps we could chat over phone or arrange to meet somewhere to get to know a little more about each other. I can be contacted directly at darl_rhoades@hotmail.com.

Ray, Matt, and Larry showed up. Had a great conversation with them. Like most folks they work and can only get out on weekends which is ok. Ray and Larry can make it sometimes during the week. There are some others here that could not make it but we will hook up as the weeks move on. Darl I will try and get with you, but the best place to meet first time is at the public landing in Bonneau Beach. Bonneau has their own web presence at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/150523992335798/?multi_permalinks=432573127464215&notif_id=1569777818082773&notif_t=feedback_reaction_generic

tx 4 reply. would be happy to meet you in Bonneau either Thursday or Friday next week (10th or 12th). I prefer to fish during the week so maybe we can work something out.

Have wanted to check out Lake Moultrie area so this would be good chance to meet you and see the lake. anytime late morning or in the afternoon would work best for me. Let me know if interested.

Darl, sent you an email. checkout the bonneau facebook page, great for us in the Lake Moultrie area, not a fishing page but more of small town watercooler page.
