Went fishing π£ in 54 degrees Carnegie Lake this evening on a cloudy, cool day with a small craft advisory northwest wind. Saw 7 fishermen. The weeds were spreading from the south end of the Aqueduct to the north. I kept moving north until I left at dusk. Caught and released 6 bluegills, 4 white perch, 4 black crappies including a double and a pumpkinseed sunfish with Walmart red worms πͺ±. A few fish π were jumping. Double crested cormorants caught and swallowed gizzard shad. Great blue heron, osprey and bald eagles π¦

It looks like fishing is turning into catching for you NJ219bands. Congrats especially for the double crappie! The high winds will keep us home, again.
Nice day bands, the double on the crappie must have been pretty cool.

Great photos once again Bands! Double crappies - looks like fun and keeps you coming back.
I fished a chilly windy Sunday afternoon on Lake Hopatcong on a buddy's boat. This years maiden voyage and trying out a new Ipilot Minnkota - amazing technology. My buddy caught a 2lb large mouth and I got skunked! Water temp a chilly 43F.
Major bass tournament the day before. Reports were low numbers of small fish.

Wish that place was closer to West Orange. Would love to catch some crappie, never have. We have Crystal Lake up by OSPAC but not much in there.
