The weather folks said a hunert percent chance,
That storms fulla bad stuff are brewin,
And what they were wailin,
Tornadoes and hailin,
Meant watch out, whatever you're doin.
I looked at the radar and then at my bride,
Who knows that my thinkin's not sloppy.
"If you think you oughta",
I told her "I gotta",
And found me some bass and this crappie.
I'm wearin a bass hat and bass shirt n pants,
But crappie like this help me pome.
And I'm not complainin,
Cause it wasn't rainin,
Then I sent her back to her home.
P.S. Topwater + 1st (small) bass = 🙃👍

Do it! I moved back home for a reason. Yeah yeah, some say you gotta go way downstream to "find fish", but that just seems odd. 2 rivers converge on either side of me 800' from my house. I don't and won't use electronic stuff to look at fish where they live, but there's been a good population of basstypes here since I started slingin plastic worms in the early 60s. Dunno why dudes think they all moved downstream. Like a writer friend of mine, I'm a minimalist fisherman, apparently. I can fish for hours, catch one little one and go home smiling. Thanks for the kind words. You come near the west end of the Rock, holler at me and I'll share my fave castin spots.
