Has anyone used wacky rig stick baits for saltwater fishing? If so, what type? What kind of fish targeted and what level of success?

I've had success using senkos when inshore fishing for reds (red drum) the times I tried, however I had them Texas rigged, not wacky. I was using Yamasenkos which are somewhat fragile, so it was pretty much one and done.

I have used plastis that were rigged wacky when fishing inshore waters for Snook, Speckled Trout and Redfish in the Florida mangroves. Some other species taken included grouper, various species of snapper, small tarpon and Jacks.

Also did this fishing the tidal flats around Corpus Christi, Texas. The backside of Padre and Mustang Islands, Laguna Madre, Baffin and Oso Bays. This produced Redfish, Speckled Trout and Fluke a few jacks and Black Drum.

Sounds like fun. I am looking forward to giving them a shot in the pacific Northwest. I have a feeling the ling cod may be impressed by their seductive dance.

That sounds interesting. I will look forward to hearing if you have any success.
I think you may be on to something. Having never fished for lings, but having a friend who has me lined up to go with him soon, I am all ears on any tips. He is possibly of a like mindset maybe, as he is tying massive streamers to entice lings to his fly rod.....??? Who knows ?
....I'm game for whatever.
