Bass fishing yesterday. Caught 5 small ones & foul hooked a tilapia on its dorsel fin. I’ve had tilapia hit a lure before & just kind of lay on their side when you reel them in; no fight at all. The foul hooked one put up one heck of a fight. I’d like to get lucky like that some more.

Would it be correct to say the number of Tilapia catching opportunities in Jersey are little to none?

Some fellow submitted a photo of a monster tilapia he caught in FL, maybe a ten pounder, a week ago maybe? Beside his rod for sizing. Would settle for one like yours too!
