DEVOTION # 61 “Who is the Holy Spirit?”

Greetings and Happy Easter to all Fishing Stagers and guests. If you were expecting an Easter devotional, I’m sorry. I kinda skipped ahead 50 days in the Bible story.
On Wednesday morning, this week, I was watching a couple of my favorite TV preachers on TBN, when I thought, “I need to start getting a devotion ready for Sunday!” After praying, nothing seemed to pop into my head, so I decided to see what else was on TBN’s schedule for the day, and saw that Joyce Meyer was coming on at noon. Now, I am not one who watches her on a regular basis, but the many times I HAVE watched her, I really liked her teaching/preaching.
So… at noon I watched her “round table” ( more like a hot pink couch)
discussion on the Holy Spirit, with two other women. The title of her program Wednesday was the same as our devotion title today. About half way through the “show”, it suddenly came to me, WHY I was watching it - I realized it was a perfect follow-up to last Sunday’s devotion, “Comfort During Suffering”.
From the scriptures last week, we learned that the Holy Spirit was given to us as a Comforter. This is just one, among many other good things, He gives us. For those of you, who have attended churches that teach about the Holy Spirit, you may already know who He is and what He brings to us. For others, you may have no idea what/who He is or what He does - you may even think He’s just some kinda’ spook.
This discussion with Joyce is a great chance to learn just who the Holy Spirit is, and more importantly, to find out all He is able to do for YOU.
I must say that three women (two sitting on a pink couch) discussing the Holy Spirit, may not sound too exciting to a bunch of fisher people, but if you take the time to watch this 47 minute video, I’m sure most of you will agree with me - it was time well spent, and you learned something today.
God bless you all!

Yes the Holy Spirit is real and he is an important part of the Christians life.
