Why did it take 50 years to get a day for Vietnam Veterans?
Why didn't Carter do it when he Pardoned the Draft Dodgers?
I believe that the almost all of the Politicians dislike the veterans that we have.
A whole month for gay P***e and 2 whole days for Nam Vets, and only one day for the other vets!

There is a rule that in order to be president you must be 35 years or older. It needs to have a few other requirements. 35 years to 65 years and must have served in the military. Might have given us a break from the 2 clowns running for president now. I was not in the military due to medical condition, but I have the upmost respect for our veterans.

Frank, I can agree to the 35 / 65 whole Heartily. But the military is not suited for everyone, but maybe a requirement to have a former or current member on staff in a very high prestigious position.

The problems that the VA has is because a lot of politicians have never been in the military and don't have any ideas about what problems Veterans have. I never served but seeing the problems my younger brother had I will do anything I can to help Veterans.

It would be to the benefit of service members if the one in charge had stripes on his sleeves and been through the trenches vs one with stars or bars that sat behind a desk.

Went through a couple of times (conflicts) of calling me Baby k**ler and one time two protesters yelling at me because I just came back from Nam and one of them (female) started swatting me with the pamphlets they were handing out about Napalm. I ended up B***h slapping her and she went down and boyfriend kind of changed his mind to engage. Was worried about people around me but then some clapped and said nice job soldier. That was my first, and had been back in the world only 4 days.

Amen! Welcome home to the World! BTW The napalm photo of the little girl was from the South Vietnam Army, not the US, but we got blamed for it.
