I'm sorry Gordon, BUT, that certainly doesn't look anything like Muir Woods. Mill Valley is just right outside San Francisco and Muir Woods almost looks like a rain forest with Giant Redwoods and ferns.
I'm NOT sayin you're wrong, but that pic just doesn't look like Muir Woods.
WAY too snowy and icy for Mill Valley, plus, there aren't any mountains like THAT anywhere around San Francisco.

Google Muir Woods National Monument.

We have to drive by Mill Valley/Muir Woods exit on our way to SF and I've been there a couple times also.
Very beautiful place. Big Redwood trees. Kinda of a deep dark forest.
I would post a pic but I can't cut and paste. I don't know how. Plus my old computer probly wouldn't do it.

I did look up MWNM and all I see are big redwoods. Don't see any shoreline at all.

I'm not sure it stretches all the way to the coast either.
