Quite a few snot rockets today

Headed up to one of the local waters today, fairly mild east wind. Caught 15 or 16 pickerel swimming jigs and had quite a bit of fun with them on light tackle. Most of the geese are paired up but there’s still a bit of dominance/submissiveness going on which is quite entertaining. Most of the pickerel were hammer handles but got one about 19 or 20” or so. Something to stretch line.

Good catching BK and a bunch of them too, that 19-20” is a nice size. Another fun day for you.

Yeah DV, they’re lots of fun on light tackle. Absolutely beautiful day to be out and about.

Gordon, they’ve been the only game in town lately but I’ll take what I can get.

Nice 👍 I caught nothing in the muddy, cold, flood waters the past 3 days. Saw a great blue heron catch two fish 🐟 and two eagles 🦅 flying with fish in their talons today.

There you go again showing some of us what we are missing. They say that we have gotten over 9 inches of snow over the past 24 hours but thankfully the high winds have kept it from piling up in my yard and drive. The forecast is still calling for 62° and light wind on Thursday.

Never a dull moment when out in nature bands, always cool to see nature’s splendor even if not catching.

That’s quite a bit of snow for late March Joel, bet you’re looking forward to Thursday.
