I went to see about obtaining a 2024 Fishing license with one additional pole. The cost went to $88.00 for one year. California no longer gives a discounted rate to Military Veterans or the Elderly. I am now more than 65 years of age and a Viet Nam Era Veteran.

California now only gives a discount to Disabled Veterans only! I just cannot understand how California can give free health care to i*****l a***ns and pay for housing them while kicking American Citizens in the Teeth with their c*******tic actions?

Welcome to the deep blue state! Highest fees in the nation! Just paid the same fee!! Just try to claim that benefit and see the hoops you have to go through for that discount to be recognized! And folks wonder why so many of our younger people are no longer fishing! So much of our licensing fees are being diverted to support non fishing programs in the state. California has encountered the lowest fish plants in the last ten years due to reallocation of license fees!
While our license fees continue to rise! It now costsl less in fees to legally purchase a firearm in the state then it does to purchase a fishing license. But they are trying to make me buy an insurance policy for my firearms!iStupid is as stupid does!

Thanks for your response. That is absolutely true with California relocation of fishing license fees going to other avenues. I personally feel that the Democrats are destroying California and giving the kitchen sink away to the i******s instead of taking care of our own American Citizens.

Here’s the scariest thought my friend. Governor nuisance will most likely become the next president in 2028.

Understood my friend. But facts are facts! Yes it may sound political in nature. But the facts are so troubling! If it goes to the attic so be it!

Oooohhhh . . That’s a special thought.
If someone conservative (ie; Trump) isn’t elected this year, crappy California will be the least of our worries.

You are in California and you paid nine dollars for your license? Please explain that! Was that the disabiled vet license? If so you deserve it!

Yep, disabled Veterans license.
Have to pay full price for any special stamps though. Like second rod stamp.
