Ontothenextfish Loc: Colorado

This is the second winter I've taken a drive to Corpus Christi and Padre island to fish. First year I fished a Small marina at Cole park in Corpus Christi and caught my first Bull Red . This year I focused on the Packery Channel jetty's ! The sheepshead spawn was just starting and I spent a day asking locals the best way to catch one! The next day I threw some live shrimp with a split shot about 1 foot above a size 2 hook (straight shank)! Sure enough they loved the shrimp and I caught a couple! Very light bite, nothing like when a bass thumps your lure but they fight and pull like no bass I've caught! Maybe I need to catch some larger bass. Was nice to escape winter for a couple weeks, I just might head back to figure out more about the fishing there next month! Hope everyone is getting out to fish and enjoy some nature!
