Yep, I've always referred to them as "PAY LAKES". You PAY for EVERYTHING. I've never liked to fish them, so I don't.
PLENTY of other places/lakes where I don't have to pay anything, or very little anyway.
I don't mind payin a small fee to launch but anything much over 6 bucks and I'll go somewhere else. Just Sayin.
I would like to know where you can launch for 6 bucks everywhere is 20 or more!

Capel cove launch ramp at lake Berryessa is free right now! Ramp at Petaluma is six bucks! Public ramp at Rio Vista is also Six bucks! Many public ramps in the delta are also free. Putah creek is 10 bucks.lake Comanche is 17.50 to park and launch.San Pablo Dam is $15 to park and launch plus daily fishing permit. Lake Sonoma is free. Lake Amador is in my opinion a ripoff!

Not the places I fish.
I Striper fish the Napa and Petaluma rivers and it's 6 bucks at the Petaluma launches. It's FREE at Cuttings Wharf on the Napa.
When I freshwater bass fish out at Lake Sonoma it's also free. Just Sayin.

I thought you live in Burlingame Ca? Isn't Tulloch a little far from home?
There are lots of other fishing opportunities way closer than Tulloch. Plus, they are cheaper to launch.

Don't launch at PUTAH brother. Launch at Capel.
That's California! They would charge for the air you breathe if they could figure out how. I fish a lot in utah. You almost never have to pay in utah, fish or launch
