I believe it is a moth but I can't remember the proper name for it.

For some reason the Dragonfly comes to mind but I don't know for sure just my guess.

Here is the answer to the fastest flying insect, but before I do I want to say that the 2nd fastest flying insect, clocked at 33.8 mph is the Moth Hawk.
And now the drum roll please πŸ™
Yes stagers it's the DRAGONFLY, clocked at over 38 mph.
We've all seen them and now we can wonder no longer.
