Went fishing in 51 degree Back Brook this evening on a sunny, cold day with a nor’wester small craft advisory and low tide. Four double crested cormorants were on the flag platform again. Caught and released 7 yellow perch to 11”, 3 bluegills and a black crappie with a $6.17 7-11 container of 20 Mike’s red worms 🪱. Didn’t get a hit with a 1/32 oz twister tail jig on 2 lb test line after I ran out of bait. Quit fishing 🎣 early. Air temp was only 40 degrees. Saw an adult bald eagle 🦅 fly downstream before a belted kingfisher flew upstream. Bought a container of 30 red worms 🪱 for $3.88 at Walmart on my way home 🏡.
Well, there you go again making a person jealous first thing in the morning. You are truly a blessed man when you can drown a batch of worms so often. An eleven degree drop in temperature would send me home.
7-11 seem proud of their worms but Wallie World is not my favorite store. But that's just me.
