Well it was certainly worth it. Even if there were no fish, a dad/daughter day is a special day.
Thanks for the pictures.

Looks as if she enjoyed it. I'll bet you did too. What better way to spend a day working than to go fishing instead ? Good choice !

It’s actually a fairly uncommon species. It is a glass nose threadfin.
Of course, after it was released, we were told that there were a delicacy! Lol

I did about 20 minutes of research and found the Goldeneye. Looks like a perfect match except for one problem. It is a freshwater fish.
The glass nose threadfin works a lot better being a nearshore saltwater fish and all.

That’s one fish I was unfamiliar with & unaware of…thanks for providing me(and others, apparently) the new information.
Once again, a perfect example of one reason why fishing can be so enjoyable_you never know what might show up at the end of your line.
A great way to spend a morning.
Thanks for sharing the result.

Dang it, now I have a new wrinkle on my brain. Ha ha.
My gpa always said when you learn something new you get a wrinkle. Thanks for the fish info.

I try to make a point of learning at least one new thing each day.
Can’t say I have noticed any daily increase in wrinkliness.
Sorry, but I’m gonna have to call BS on what your grandpa told you…unless they all wait to show up at once.
If that is true, then my daily learning goal will likely turn me into an old well-worn piece of leather at some point.

Of course(provided I live long enough), that may be my genetic destiny whether I keep learning new things or not.
What is one to do?

Don't know, but would like to see my brain when they cut it open. Of course when I'm dead.
