Hello! Just got new 2024 fishing regulations for rockfish and lingcod. They had restricted our rockfish and lingcod fishing to no near shore fishing. Any fishing for these rockfish and lingcod had to be done at 50 fathoms and deeper. Which pretty much closed all rockfishing for small boat anglers and kayakers. Fishing was only allowed from shore. New regulations for 2024 have changed from 50 fathoms or 300 feet to 20 fathoms or 120 feet. Beginning May 1st and for the months of June July Aug. and Sept. I know that is an improvement from 50 fathoms but I still see a problem for small boaters and kayakers fishing at that depth. I'll be making a reservation on a charter boat, the"Shellback" to fish for Pacific Halibut and rockfish also Lingcod. I am so stoked and ready to go! Pictures show last year's fishing haul and new 2024 rockfish and lingcod regulations. Can't wait! Had a blast last year!
