Listen before we speak. We should not have to be reminded, should we?

Good one Plum. Great reminder. I guess it won’t hurt to listen to you every now and then. Only when you are sober which is very rare.

I am surprised you are able to do it every now and then in your condition laying in the curb.

I'm with dbed in talking to much, but it's usually to myself so that doesn't count as much. 🥴
I have a friend and neighbor who comes over for coffee almost every day and I feel it's just so he can tell someone about how his day went. I'm not sure his wife ever wants to listen. So each has its place.

One of the best lessons age has brought. Don't listen long enough just to put your two cents in immediately, let their words sink in. And even worse, don't finish anyone's sentences.

Listening is quick becoming a lost art. It is essential in cultivating healthy relationships…. more so listening with the intent to understand rather than to reply.
