Welcome to the stage Mars, you have come to the right place. A lot goes on here more than just fishing. The Main section is suppose to stay just fishing and the Chit Chat section can vary on all topics just not politics. Politics will get the topic sent to the attic section.
Pictures of catches and or just scenery are always appreciated here. Hope you enjoy your stay here and look forward to what you are reeling in from there in Havre de Grace.

Well the price of Blood Worms went through the roof again. Last I saw was $20 a dozen. Having said that, frozen shrimp is good for most. I don't know how old you are, but the Golden Age passport for all State parks is $10 at age 62 and the combined Senior License is $5 for fresh and salt water at 65.
Now having said that Cowengo Dam is close to you and so is Port Deposit. Watch out for the snags below the dam and the current is fast. There are supposed to be big cats by the water ext of the dame and I have seen bass caught there also. Good luck and happy Fishing.
Hi audigger53
Thank you for your reply and advice. I do have the senior license and it really helps. I have used frozen shrimp before and it works well. I’ve used plastic worms with not much luck. Night crawlers work best but are expensive so this year I’m going to attempt to create a habitat and grow my own worms this year.

Go to Walmart get Mike's Green Worms work better than the night crawlers, normally. Bass, ect.
Thank you. I will check it out.
I am not sure where you are fishing, but in the salt, I have used gulp snd worms with outstanding success on the west coast. They are my number one go to for surf perch, pacific rock fish, greenling and flatfish except halibut. I use the two inch camo color strung on a size 1 hook. I even caught a 20 pound king salmon on that rig a few years back.
I just received a bucket of worms from my friend who had horses. They were mixed in some horse manure which is perfect growing medium for the worms. I’m going to try to maintain them and grow them through the summer. Does anyone have any suggestions.
Some, not a lot of cold coffee grounds stirred in. At least that's what i heard years ago.

I have always done that. I also have a small refrigerator in the shop. Keeping worms and crawlers cold does wonders for them.
Thanks. I heard egg shells too.
I will try using a styrofoam cooler for now. Thank you.
