While in Cozumel, Mexico I got to talking to a guy downtown who asked me if I liked to fish…..😂
He said he booked a five hour trip for himself but was still short $100. Told us if we came up the the $100 he would pay for everything else. We knew it was a risk, but for that much why not chance it! Ended up splitting the cab ride and paid for the tip.
Had a redfish jump and get off, as well as a big barracuda that did the same; and caught this redfish. My wife got to go and we had a great time. Not many fish but good brews, great time on the water with my wife!
The chef at this guy’s hotel fixed the fish for us!
Sometimes things work out great…you just have to take a chance and go for it!

Nice Fish. Not sure but looks like a lane snapper. That dinner plate sure looks good.

He was a nice guy! The guide said it was a red snapper but I’m used to catching bass so…..🤷♂️😂

Looks like you had a great day fishing and a nice dinner.The snapper you caught is actually a mutton snapper. it is delicious no matter how you prepare it
