I live in “Lake Country”, se Wisconsin near Oconomowoc. I spend time in Eagle River occasionally. My favorite fish to hunt are river walleye. We love to shore fish the Rock River between Ft Atkinson and Hustisford. I’m spending a week in Coloma this week and would love any info regarding the Mecan River for trout or the Wisconsin River near Petenwell for crappie/walleye! Thank you in advance…..

I'm sorry I'm not much help, but I would talk to local bait shops and Google and YouTube are great resources also. if you don't get much information here you might start another thread stating fishing in Wisconsin river. Good luck and remember to share your pic's man and welcome to the stage man 👍

Welcome , I live in Berlin on the fox river things are pretty slow here now still early and water levels are low. I have never fished the Pentenwell but I know guys go there early in spring. Tight linesMel

I'm not a walleye fisherman but I know a lot of people fish the spring run on the Wisconsin River just below the Nekoosa dam. I live within about 10 miles of the Mecan but haven't fished it since I was a kid and that is many decades ago
