I keep a record of all the Pike I catch on google Earth maps. I add a waypoint were I got it and the date and well as water and weather conditions plus the lure I caught it on. I put the main info in the header on the top and all the rest of the info in the comments below. So any time at a later date you can right click your waypoint and it will display all the comments. I also put info like where there is a shallow spot that could be a hazard or sunken tree or rock. Here is a sample of one of my favorite Pike spots

Looks like that would be great information but I have neither the discipline or computer savvy to do it. When in my boat I just hit a waypoint where I’ve had success.

I've started a fishing journal for future reference.
It has a rather funny, but obnoxious name.
Send me a PM if you want to know the title.
It's not really that bad, but I didn't want to take chances.

The way i do it is to enter them into the computer God put on top of my shoulders. I forget most details in life but I can put a pencil mark on my favorite lake map of all the 49 tiger muskies that have come into my boat over the past two decades. I guess we remember the real important things in life!

Well when you catch that few of fish it's not hard to remember . LOL
It sure seems like a great idea. How do you set up the markers on google earth?

There is a button in google earth that you can pick what icon you want to show and it has a place for info that when you click on it, it shows that info. So you can get very detailed if you want as there is plenty of room for all the info you want. The icon marks the location, but I add the Date, time, water temp, water clarity, wind, weather conditions, lure, plus the weight and length of fish.
