I have seen the CPS Braid in BPS ads and fliers. Good price compared to other brands.
I really like Suffix 832 and really don’t intend to change, but I was wondering if anyone has used the CPS Braid. If you have used it, what are the pros and cons? Is it worth trying?

Haven't used it. How much is it?
I bought 2 1000 yard spools of 30# Kastking braid for striper fishin off E bay. They were bout 20 bucks a spool. Seems to work fine.
Recently, I bought 2 spools of 500 meter 25 pound braid off TEMU and they were less than 5 bucks apiece. That also seems to work just fine as well. It cast easier and further than the 30# braid too.

On Temu, Wish, AliExpress all are China, but I have had good results with the 4 Strand JOF Brand braid.
8,20,30,40 LB Braid. No build up on the Bail roller, not a lot of coating on the line. been using the JOF brand for 6-7 years so far. I like it, 1000m under $20, for 40 LB 4 strand, the lighter lines are cheaper.
yes, It takes 2-3 weeks to get it, but winter is the time I order stuff. Too cold for a thin skinned guy. LOL
IE Low body fat.

You got a good deal there, Steve. The XPS braid is $22.99 for a 300 yard spool of 30# test. Here is what they say.

Bass Pro Shops® XPS® SS Braid Fishing Line is our most advanced braided fishing line to date. XPS SS Braid is precision crafted from 8 woven fibers, resulting in unparalleled strength and a consistent roundness that makes casting smoother than ever. It has virtually no stretch, so you'll feel every touch. Plus, the extra-small diameter helps with finesse presentations; enhanced color protection helps prevent premature washout.
Superior smoothness, sensitivity, and strength
Woven from 8 strands
Consistent roundness
Virtually no stretch
Enhanced color protection

I’ve used XPS in 30 pounds with no complaints
I tried some 8 pounds once and got a lot of wind knots 🪢

I liked the 30 pound I’ve also used some 50 on one of my bigger reels, no problem
I don’t know why the 8 pound gave me so much trouble, I won’t use the 8 anymore but I will use 30 and higher

I like the suffix 832 in any size next is yo zuri super braid I think those are better than the xps I’ve used, but sometimes it depends on price for me, I also use braids that I’ve gotten from Temu that I’m happy with, one thing that I’ve discovered is that I like 8 strand better than 4 strand it’s smoother and casts better

I’m really sold on Suffix 832 and have used from 10# to 30#. I agree that the 8 strand is head and shoulders above 4 strand. I’ve tried Stren braid and P-line braid and both are ok, but not as good as Suffix. I’ll take a look at Yozuri, but price is a big factor. Thanks for the feedback.

I've tried multiple brands 5lb to 80lb.
Both 4 n 8 strand.
Never had a line failure.
Some may be a bit smoother or not fade as fast.
With any brand or weigh a good knot is the secret to success.

It's all your choice n pocket book.
Personally if I can get 1,000 yes of off brands for the price of 150/300yds of brand name I know what I'm doing.

👍🎣
